What a course! Makes you play golf clever. Can’t use driver on every hole. Very undulating greens. Club house is very nice! Food was amazing. Genuine 5 star from me. Only thing that would have been awesome is if the driving range had a little more length to it. Great course

My most favourite player ever, one of my favourite courses designed to capture a full range of skills in true Seve style, risk and reward everywhere. Take to many risks and the course will surely win. 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's.We played in a handicap match, unsurprisingly the home team are unbeaten for 7 years. We lost hands down 4 - 0 fourball better all, what a great bunch of guys, well done Lloyd and Dave great company.The course is immaculate tee to green, the staff very attentive in every way possible.If you live London or Hertfordshire put it on your to do list, you'll love it. The owner and family run everything, he followed us round the back 9 for a few holes, must be so proud to have a piece of one of the greatest ever golfers and his work.

Brilliant venue hardest course in London by far and course kept in lovely condition. Very very freindly. But for the life of me I cannot understand why the shire London is not in top uk 100 courses.it so should be !!!!!

Very nice golf course

I had previously played the Royal Obidos in Portugal, designed as well by Seve, and thus had high expectations!And, I was not to be let down - this is a great course!It fits well in the landscape, with nice separation between the fairways. There are many challenging holes, with water placed to protect the greens.But, the course is never unfair, there is normally always an "easy way around", so it is also playable for beginners.Only thing I didn't like - the rental clubs were overpriced and not really in a good state....

Testing course if your a higher handicaper. Good fun today.

This Seve design course is fun to play. There are a lot of varieties in the 18 holes and one has to carefully plot around the course when the wind blow.

Great place to hold an engagement party

Great course. Well maintained tee boxes and green with a interesting layout, different to anything I've played before. Little boggy around the rough and walkways which is to be expected this time of year but the main reason for the review and the 5 stars is how welcoming the place is. It's a family run place and everybody there was really nice. Not sure what it is about golf clubs where everybody has to act like an arrogant b*stard but the people who run this club are top draw. Will be coming back time and time again.

Really disappointed with the course condition, very hard and bouncy in places, rough was US open length which held the entire field up. bunkers flooded and in poor condition. over priced for the quality

Brilliant course. Wonderfully designed by a legend. Winter golf package is a fantastic deal and the food was of a London restaurant standard.

Great golf club, some tricky holes, always in good condition

Amazing course. Really have to think your way around it. Water really comes into play rather than being just a feature. Also in amazing condition considering how hot it is at present.

I visited the shire golf club today, to give a blood donation,I must say I was very impressed, the decor was very impressive, very cleannot too sure if they rent it out for functions, if they do I'd say it's a must seeIf you play golf definitely enquirie about membership 10/10

Visitors with The Club Golf Society. Where do I start. Staff were all very friendly. Food was great. Course is absolutely incredible. A real challenge of your skill and your ability to navigate a course. Will absolutely be back. Definitely a bucket list course especially if you live in the UK. Went here for a wedding reception lovely reception room and great outdoor view and patio area. Really nice.

Great golf course, good food and friendly service

Fantastic greens well designed course, three things let it down. Firstly don't buy range balls unless you are happy to hit mud covered balls because the dispenser does not wash them. Secondly don't play the course alone, it was only my second time & I found it frustrating as the signage between holes is poor or non-existent. Finally each tee box has no clear hole numbers.

Great course. Very challenging with lots of water hazards and narrow fairways. Make sure you have a good few extra balls!Greens are superb whole course is very well looked after. Club house is very nice and modern. Good selection of beers and spirits. Good choice of food, very nice and well presented. Definitely be playing here again.

Nice challenging course which is in great condition the 18 is a good finish to the course. Hard to get tee offs if you are not a member but that's due to how good it is. Good value for money

Tough course, have to play tactical, but an absolute gem, emaculate condition, must play course.

Possibly the most interesting course I have played. Just wish it were closer to south London

Very challenging course. We played on a windy day and it's very unforgiving but so rewarding when you get it right.
